New News Databases Trials

The UWSP Libraries, and the UW System libraries, are trialing three news databases this fall. We would appreciate your feedback (faculty/staff/students) on these trials which will help us determine which news databases will best support our campuses. Please share this with your colleagues.

The databases and access information are listed below. The trial will be live through Nov. 11.

Access World News Research Collection (Newsbank)

Database with global, national, and regional news (including Wisconsin media outlets), featuring newspapers, newswires, magazines, and video in English and many other languages.

Factiva World News (Dow Jones/ProQuest)

Database of global news, data, and company information.

Global Newsstream

Database with global and national news, featuring newspapers and newswires in English and other languages.

Plan on taking the MCAT or GRE?

The University Library has the latest editions of the MCAT Subject Review and GRE Revised General Test study guides. These guides can be found in the Reserve department on the 1st floor of the Library. The new MCAT guide includes general and organic chemistry, physics, and verbal reasoning and writing. The new GRE guide includes analytical writing, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and a math review.
