Celebrating Black History Month: Exploring African Americans in the Arts

As we embark on the month of February, we celebrate Black History Month focusing on the theme, “African Americans in the Arts.” The UWSP Main Campus Library presents a display (CCC 130) featuring a variety of artists and performers from children’s books to fiction and memoirs.

In addition to our display, we invite you to dive into our extensive e-resources that offer a dynamic and interactive exploration of African Americans in the arts. You can find selected resources on our research guide, and a highlight this month is Bullfrog Films featuring films for Black History Month (available through our Docuseek Film Collection)

Whether you engage with our display or explore our e-resources (or both), let this month be a reminder of the profound impact African Americans have had and continue to have on the arts.
