To all our new and returning students, Welcome! to the University Libraries.

We have a wide variety of resources and services available to you both online and in-person, and we encourage you to stop by and check it out. 

Here is a link to our hours on our three campuses. 

Whether you need help with research, picking up a book, or wanting to find a study space, you can find all of that in our libraries (Main Campus, Wausau, and Marshfield).

Student Support

If you are a student, you might find the following resources and services particularly useful:

§  Research Guides on a variety of education-related topics to help kickstart your research.

§  Databases for access to quality content from the convenience of your own computer.

§  Streaming videos from blockbusters to documentaries

§  Circulation Desk where you can check out and pick up materials, browse our current periodicals, check out a board game, or just hang out and study.

§  Library homepage is our gateway to millions of resources and services.

§  Research Consultations with our librarians if you get stumped or need help during the research process.

§  Take a course! We offer credit courses in information literacy and critical thinking.

Faculty Support

If you are a faculty member or are teaching any courses, you may find the following services of use:

§  Instruction sessions coordinated by librarian Dave Dettman

§  Course Reserves services to ensure students have full access to all your course readings.

§  And a host of other services for faculty, such as ordering materials, integrating materials into Canvas, contacting your library liaison, collection development requests and policies, and more.

FAQs

Where is the library? I can’t find it.

§  The University Library on the Main Campus is located in CCC (Collins Classroom Center), and our Archives is in the TNR building.

    • University Archives - TNR 110
    • Offsite location – Plover (not accessible to the public but the library will deliver materials to campus from our offsite location. You can request materials using these steps).

§  Feel free to call our Circulation Desk (CCC 130) at 715-346-2540 during business hours with any questions you may have!

You may also contact our Reference Desk (CCC 104) at 715-346-2836 for help with research and assignments in person, via chat, text, email, or phone.
