Check Out a Wisconsin State Park Pass!
In celebration of Earth Week, UWSP Libraries are participating in the Check Out Wisconsin State Parks at Your Library program, which allows Point Card holders to visit Wisconsin state parks, recreation areas, and forests for free. This includes access to thousands of miles of hiking, biking, and water trails.
How to Check Out a Pass:
- Passes are available at the circulation desks at all three campus library locations during business hours:
- Main Campus: CCC 130
- Marshfield Campus: Library
- Wausau Campus: Library
- A Point ID Card is required to check out a pass.
- Each pass is valid for one day of your choosing and covers one vehicle.
- Passes allow entry to state parks, forests, and recreation areas but cannot be used for buses.
- The vehicle must have Wisconsin license plates to be eligible.
- The pass must be displayed on the driver’s side dashboard during your visit.
- Park passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be picked up in person at the Library Circulation Desks.
- Passes cannot be held or reserved for later pickup.
Wisconsin State Park System Highlights:
- 50 state parks, 9 recreation areas, 15 state forests, and 44 state trails
- 6,500+ campsites, 500+ boat access sites, and 700+ miles of equestrian trails
- Open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
