Find the resources you need using the information below.
Books
- We own about 500,000 print books, discoverable in the Search@UW library catalog. You can browse our four-story library in person, place holds on materials to pick up at your own convenience, and request books be mailed to your address.
- You can also request books from any of our 13 University of Wisconsin (UW) campuses, with most arriving in about 2-3 days, including delivery straight to your door. Extend your reach even farther with Interlibrary Loan, which allows you to request materials from library systems around the world.
Scholarly Articles
- In addition to finding articles in Search@UW, we subscribe to over 300 databases, including subject databases, reference materials, streaming videos, audiobooks, magazines, and music scores. Use these databases to find curated scholarly articles and other content.
Citation Management
- Along with citation manuals and handouts, we can help you learn how to use a free citation manager, Zotero, to organize your research.
Thesis/Dissertation Submission Guidelines
- Your degree may require a final thesis or dissertation for graduation. If so, we provide submission guidelines and formatting resources to help you polish your final submission.
- Visit the UW institutional repository, Minds@UW, to see senior projects, theses, dissertations, and other scholarly work submitted by students like you. You can also visit the library's 2nd floor to see our physical collection of theses and dissertations.
Visit Us for Research Help
- We offer research assistance by phone, email, 24/7 chat, and in person. Students can also schedule one-on-one consultations with a librarian in person or via Zoom.
- Our new library offers plenty of individual and collaborative study spaces. If you are working remotely, many library resources are available online.
