Browse scholarly e-journals with BrowZine
The
Library is happy to announce the addition of a new tool called BrowZine that allows
you to browse scholarly e-journals available through our library. You can…
- Search by
journal title
- Browse by
subject
- Create a
personal bookshelf of favorite journals
- Receive alerts
when new issues of a journal are available
- Bookmark
articles for reading later
- Direct
students to BrowZine to view the latest in your discipline’s
journals
- Save, organize, and monitor your most-used e-journals on virtual bookshelves.
The
tool is available on your desktop and there is an app for iOS and Android so
you can synchronize your reading between devices.
How do I get BrowZine?
In
order to setup access to BrowZine on your desktop or laptop, visit BrowZine from
the Library’s homepage. This will allow you to browse through and read the
full-text of many of the Library’s e-journals. If you create a free account,
you can select journals to appear on your personal shelves for easy access.
Remember, this is not a discovery tool like Search@UW. This is journal browsing
tool, not a place to search for articles.
To access on your
mobile device simply download the app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Amazon App
Store.
Where can I get more information about BrowZine?
You
can view an introductory
video about BrowZine on Vimeo. Additionally,
the makers of BrowZine, Third Iron, have a support website where
you can get more information about how to use BrowZine.
Who
can I contact at the Library to ask questions or give feedback?
Please
contact Jennifer Huffman with any
questions or feedback you have regarding BrowZine.
